Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to strengthen their Canva design skills and stay accountable for regular social media posting is welcome. These sessions are designed to be equal parts learning, creativity, and accountability.
What do I need before I can join The Lab?
You will need your own Canva account and at least one logo, so you can create your branded graphics. Canva Pro is not required.
When are the workshops?
We meet Wednesdays from 10-10:30 AM ET and Thursdays from 3-3:30 PM ET. Wednesday and Thursday sessions both cover the same topic. You can attend every session, or pick and choose which sessions to attend. Each week we cover how to create a different social media design idea, with topics cycling about every 12 weeks.
What will happen in the workshops?
During the first half of each session, Phoebe and/or Suzanne will model the steps on Canva and their thought process for creating a branded graphic. As they present, you are free to ask questions and discuss the content. The second half of the session, you will work on your own Canva account to create a graphic, and you can ask questions and get help as you work.
What’s different about this?
You’re not hiring our design team or taking a course. The Lab is about guiding you through a specific design idea, showing what’s possible in Canva, and creating accountability for your social media presence. The Lab is equal parts demonstration, discussion and do-it-yourself.
What happens if I can’t attend a session?
You’ll have access to a recording of the session, so you don’t miss out.
Am I guaranteed a completed graphic?
A completed graphic is the goal of each meeting, but some designs may be more difficult for you on a certain day or you may not be feeling your creative best. That’s okay. You can keep working on them after the session. Our team will be available via DM if you have questions after the sessions.
